I have 24 years in telecommunications and started Cleveland Radio Operations as a vision to help local communities start their own small hub for security Block watch groups using the GMRS System.  While I have successfully worked on a couple of these projects, I have also seen People Misinform or cause doubt about the connection process or using nodes.  You don’t need any additional licenses to run yourself a private simplex node (AKA- Parrott Device); over VOIP for friends’ family and hobbyist on GMRS with approved equipment and operate on the approved GMRS ALLSTARLINK system. remember to not step on, or program over a local duplex GMRS repeaters, please check your area when selecting frequency and PL tone and you will be fine.
